How is Vodafone’s home broadband in the UK? Currently with Plusnet but it’s kinda sketchy where I live so looking for a switch and some input from any current Vodafone home broadband users

The services themselves are pretty much the same as other providers.  Where Vodafone fail, is in customer service!  VF seem almost incapable of calling back when promised, use a flawed script for their CS agents, and there doesn't seem to be any feedback that leads to improvement over time.  Finally, the "Pro" service promises a great deal but actually appears to serve almost nothing more than a flakey WiFi extender, which when received requires an hour on hold to CS to get firmware pushed to the router in order to make it work.

If you do switch and it goes wrong, it seems it's often quicker to abandon the switch than to get VF to fix it!

*Of course on boards such as this, we only see things when they go wrong, in combination with our own experiences (pretty terrible).

Hey @karaibanu it's great that you're considering us as a new provider and we'd love to have you with us.

You can check your expected speeds online and I'd recommend chatting to our Home Broadband team either on webchat or by calling them on 08080 408 408, so they can discuss everything with you 🙂

Yeah, what he said. Re: Home broadband -UK - Community home (vodafone.co.uk)

If the service with PlusNet is "kinda sketchy where you live", it's not going to improve if you swap ISP. That is down to the Openreach infrastructure.

If you can explain a little more about the "kinda sketchy" problems you have we may be able to suggest ways of improving things, but I doubt you will find Vodafone better than PlusNet at getting them resolved.

I know it's never been proven, but being with an ISP that is owned by BT seems to help when you need Openreach type problems fixed.
