Hi
I hope someone could help with a query.
My son is shortly to move into a new build block of flats (built 3-4 years ago). According to Vodafone (and other suppliers), there is full-fibre broadband available for his flat. General address is: Canal Street, Campbell Park, Milton Keynes, MK9 4BX.
Question: how does the full-fibre connection get into the block of flats (without external boxes being fixed to the outside wall and holes being drilled through the wall). There is some form of socket on the wall in the flat.
Unfortunately, the landlord isn’t able to explain how the flat is connected to various supplier’s broadband, other than people have broadband in the flats and you’re not allowed to drill holes or attach boxes to external walls.
Thanks

f it looks something like this:
or this
Then the flat already has Full Fibre broadband available, so he should be able to order a service from anyone who uses the Openreach network. (which is just about everyone)

Thanks for your quick response. I believe all he has is this socket in the living room, but we can't make out from the photo what it says.

Left is a fused connection unit (possibly for a fan) and the other's a fan isolator (possibly for that fcu).
Sorry, couldn't resist.
I'd expect to find an outlet somewhere near the aerial socket in the living room. Or a very thin wire with a green plug on it.

Think that’s what we’ll need to do. It’s just he needs broadband pretty quickly once he moves in as he works a few days from home per week.
