Hello

My Vodafone Broadband (Superfast 2) went live yesterday, sort of, with hicups

 

Had to do alot of fiddling, restarts and stuff to get it working on some devices but still having problems with a couple other devices, its not very consistent atm (Not the actual broadband connection), the connectivity of devices to the router. 

 

Ethernet devices now seem fine, at first not even all those were working, but now it seems to just be Wireless devices having problems obtaining IP settings. 

 

My 4K Firestick was kind enough to tell me the actual problem "IP Configuration failed", My SmartTV is having the same trouble too.

 

I read a few other posts that they had their problems fixed by Vodafone, I am having trouble even being able to speak to anybody right now because the chat lines are all overflowed.

 

Wondering if there is any Vodafone staff lurking these forums that could take a little look inside my accounts/routers settings and make any changes to help me

We have a Vodafone Social Media Team that help out on the forum @DStruct  but they cannot help with account enquiries from here.

Managed to get through to them on the phone, I told him what had been happening / not happening in my case, he told me to change the WiFi password. 

So I told him I had already changed that several times after having to hard reset the router twice already but OK, I will change it. 

Once changed he told me to try to connect again on one of the devices it wasnt working on, so I tried my 4K Firestick and what would you know, it worked..

So I questioned him and said what else did you do for that to work? He replied, nothing sir you just changed the WiFi password... 

Then I got a text and email telling me my Static IP address has been added successfully, nothing I requested, so he obviously turned that on which must of helped but he did not want to tell me he turned it on? Wanting me to feel like a dumb ##~## or something? I dont know. I got a weird vibe.
