On 6th Jan I raised an order for Vodafone FTTP (currently Plusnet FTTC) with requested install date of 18th Feb. Openreach visited on 8th Jan but still no install date or update from Vodafone. Any guesses how long I may have to wait or how I request info?

What did openreach do on 8th Jan? Have you not received your router?
When an order is placed a sure sign of failure is a lack of communication. One should receive 3 or 4 updates from vodafone between ordering and going live.

Openreach checked the route for laying the ducting / fibre which in this case will cross a tarmac drive and then the front garden which is mainly grass.
Lack of updates is causing concern...

I don't have the number to hand, but if you call the sales line you should get an answer (available on those pamphlets that come through your door). You would be talking person to person with someone who has direct access to your order, the reason why it may have failed, and should be able to push a new order through with a greater chance of success. That's been my experience anyway 😉
