DNS will not have any effect on whether you can connect to WiFi or not.

Can you give more info on your problem.

It finds my Vodafone WiFi and I put my password in but it just won’t connect! I am having to connect it to my phone which is not ideal!

The first thing I would try is splitting the Wi-Fi bands and trying to connect to them separately (not possible if you are on Pro apparently)

Also set an easier to remember password if you haven't already done it. The default Vodafone password is just too complicated.
