Hi, had Voda Fibre 910 installed last year and have had zero issues with it so far, apart from before the Easter holidays where my connection is constantly poor in the evening. Usually a few reboots of the Voda modem fixes this, and while the speed never suffers the connection is very jittery, with pingtest showing large spikes from the baseline of 30ms up to 400ms. When playing games online the connection is freezing and I am getting a lot of rubber banding.
Sometimes a few restarts of the modem works, and other times nothing works and I just have to stop.
Any help would be appreciated!

I'm on wired. It's CityFibre.
I'm not actually from Manchester, it just shows me there for some reason. No VPN or anything running.

7ms is pretty darn good though, when I think of what it could be. the problem with travelling a distance to the gateway is the gateway is where you data enters/exits the internet spine (the true internet. Everything between you and that point is travelling over local networks, which often have problems, and can also be running over old infrastructure. The further the distance the worse it can be. Imaging being in London and routed through the Edinburgh Gateway - it does happen.
This won't help to help you fix your problem, but I hope now you understand what is happening.
Have you a third-party router you can test with?

Sorry but that's not what the issue is.
The issue is that my connection is rock solid and then, intermittently, I get such huge latency spikes that playing games online is impossible. These spikes happen every half minute or so, or sometimes last for a couple minutes at a time.
This is enough to make me reconsider who my ISP is, because I never once had these issues with TalkTalk broadband.

Assuming that I have correctly identified the VF gateway, Cloudflare have some latency and jitter data here https://radar.cloudflare.com/quality/as5378
