I have the VF THG3000 and it's showing

Firmware version: 19.4.0551-3261103

I haven't used it for 6 months and wondering if it's latest FW.

What do you mean by 2nd line support?

At first I didn't notice problems, but I was playing an online game with my daughter and both of our games would simultaneously freeze and reconnect at the same time, she was on Wi-Fi and I was hard wired. I began noticing that my browser would start reporting that it had lost connection very briefly now and then. I started running speed tests and connection tests, and the speed tests would often fail. The results have been mixed, so yesterday I setup account and a  BQM on the thinkbroadband website. It ran for almost 24 hours and was solid red which is possibly because the connection dropped near the start of the test and I believe once that happens the remainder of the test is basically useless. I've got a new BQM running and it's been fine for the last few hours. Anyway I'll carry on for now. A router update would be useful, years old firmware can't be a good thing can it...

Just what version of firmware do you have @daddio?

The current appears to be 19.4.0551-3261126, but the previous was 19.4.0551-3261103, and that was running for more than a year (from memory) so I doubt the update made much change to the functionality of the router.

Full version of the current firmware is

19.4.0551-3261126-20230609162902-7efccd9e333e995b72430e4ef45c0f27f265fb5d, which if you look at the third series of numbers was compiled at 16:29:02 on 9th June 2023. There's nothing more recent.

My router is on the older firmware 19.4.0551-3261103

Just today it's being quite slow and buggy, for example I no longer have the option to change the admin password, even while in expert mode. The page just doesn't load, whereas the LED settings page will load. I'll have to reset it later when the network is not in use.

Just a note that I checked mine today after some weird dhcp storm issues and found it had 19.4.0551-3261143, GUI is still painfully slow!

Vodafone 2nd Line Support, they contacted after issues.

My router was like yours, slow to navigate menus most of the time, occasionally behaved normally.

The replacement hasn't fixed speed issues, OOkla hardwired went to 450, few minutes later same server 80MB, nothing extra running, but navigation between menu pages is better.

OK. Thanks.

How do people recommend I contact Vodaphone? There doesn't seem to be a decent Facebook page that has sensible tech support.

The support is by chat or phone, the social media route is less than desirable.

https://www.vodafone.co.uk/bbservcd/  or call 08080 034 515 (they seem to be clocking live links)
