Needing some advice about Secure Net for Broadband users. I finds this very annoying because it’s great it blocks malicious sites and malware but why does it block network printers and network attached storage device’s very annoying. And what can done to prevent this from happening again Vodafone if you on here I need your helpful advice.
Thank you.

What we don't know is what router you're using, what printer, what NAS? And why are you switching it off? LAN or wifi? What are you seeing in the logs that leads you to believe this is down to Secure Net?

@Anonymous By any chance is the printer a HP one?
Depending on what software is on the NAS you should be able to connect to it with the router switched off. That might be a good experiment.
Also have a look at the IP address of all your equipment and see if they are on the same address range as the router, e.g. 192.168.1.x

@Anonymous Does the NAS also offer DHCP and DNS services?

No one is talking sense here it doesn’t matter if static or dynamic secure net shouldn’t be blocking access to network devices. Both My NAS and Print is static. The only thing it should be filtering out is rogue websites phishing sites malware and virus from outside your network. I take security very seriously I always use very long and complex passwords. It seems to be working fine because I recently received a new firmware update a month ago Firmware version: 22.1.0515-6261048. It’s the Ultra Hub WiFi 6E

Fingers crossed it won’t happen again
