Cannot Unblock blocked device via Broadband App or Router

Hi all!

I am occasionally forced to block my kid's tablets to encourage the completion of homework.

Normally this works fine and I can block and unblock the device from the ios Broadband app on my phone.

However yesterday when I try to unblock devices I just get a failure message on the app.  The devices are on the blocked list but every attempt to unblock them fails.

I thought I could also unblock devices my logging directly into the router from my PC but the MAC filter option seems to have gone.  I can see the devices greyed out with no drop down options next to them.

I really don't want to have to hard reset my whole router and reconnect every single device to my Wi-Fi....

Any help gratefully appreciated please!

OK I have solved this with customer support help.

You DO NOT need to hard reset your router after all thankfully :Smiling:

To solve this:

1) Log into your router by typing 192.168.1.1 into the browser of a device connected to your wi-fi.  The router password is under your router.

2) There is a drop down menu at the top of the screen that reads 'Basic mode' by default.  Change this to 'expert mode'.

3) Go into the 'Wi-Fi' option from the red menu bar at the top and then select 'Mac Filter' from the list of options on the left of the screen (you need to be in expert mode for this option to display).

4) You will see a list of all your blocked devices by MAC address.  Hit the delete bin icon against each one you want to unblock and then scroll down and click 'Apply'

Problem solved and your devices are unblocked!
