Hello. I'm trying to set up a different router to hopefully boost the WiFi speed. Got myself a TP link archer C59 and I've gone into the settings and put in the username/password as advised but I cannot get it to Connect to the Internet. I'm beginning to think this router isn't compatible?

Err, this is a pure router, it has no xDSL modem.  So if you have FTTC internet, how are you connecting?

@Bridlad Are you on a FTTP broadband service? If you are, is it over City Fibre or Open Reach? Sometimes VF give out the wrong credentials, normally a typo swapping O for zero. What errors are in the router log?

There is a long running thread in the forum about using your own router.

Even if you get this router up and running, are you sure an ac1350 router will have better wifi than the vf router?

@Bridlad Posted their query back in 2019, I suspect they have probably solved it by now.😕

@Jayach I didn't even notice the date. I'm going to claim that I don't see things so we'll if I browse the forum from a mobile phone.
