I had my new cityfibre line installed today  was hoping to use my own firewall instead of the Vodafone supplied one.  I have one of these wall boxes with a Ethernet cable going to the WAN on the router when I plug this WAN cable into OPNsense I don't seems to be getting a WAN dhcp address not so sure why?

You need to get your PPPoE login details from Vodafone and set up a PPPoE session on your OPNSense.

thanks got it working now

Are you able to assist with setting it up? Trying to move from pfSense. Practically copied the settings but it will not connect!

Hey @chriseng90 I hope you're doing well! If you want the credentials so you can use your own router, you will need to speak to the Broadband team on 0333 304 0191 or via LiveChat here so they can look into this for you, as we won't be able to provide those details via this platform.

I have my credentials, they work fine currently on pfsense but for the life of me i cannot get opnsense to work!
