broadband dropping out - going in circles with vodafone

Hi All,

I've only been with Vodafone for two months, but for the last month at least my broadband has been dropping out regularly. Some days it's fine and others it's losing connection repeatedly for hours on end. I'm not aware of it much of the time, but if I'm streaming something then I lose connection at least once an hour.

I've been going round in circles with Vodafone "help" - they keep sending Open Reach to look at something, who then come back saying they can't find an issue and mark it as resolved. I then wait a day or two, the problem continues and I have to go back to them and start again.

It's driving me insane and I'm at the point where I want to get away from this company, as they aren't doing anything to resolve the issue.

Any advice? Vodafone are quick to blame OpenReach, but could it be something else? Is there something I can do with the router etc to investigate?

I've got Vodafone sending Open Reach out for the third time. And also dragged somem information out of them about what the supposedly resolved issue was the previous time. They said that "The fault was there at the primary cross connection point" if that means anything to anybody.

They seem very sure it is an issue outside my house, although I wonder if that is just the default position so they can say it isn't their problem directly.

Open Reach have looked into this twice, saying it’s fixed both times. And last week came to my house, checked my connection and found no issues. They then did what they do at the box on the street and it was ok for four days — but has been terrible again since Friday.

This has been going on for 5 weeks now and it’s driving me insane.
