this issue started a few months ago and is driving me nuts, the internet hardly ever disconnects during the day but then after 7pm it disconnects multiple times every hour for like 35-40 seconds at a time then comes back online, im sitting around 1.5ft away from the router, any idea what could be causing these disconnects after 7pm? its a cityfibre line, anything I could try before contacting vodafone direct as I cant put up with these disconnects, cheers

The first thing to work out is, are these broadband cuts, or just Wi-Fi disconnects.
I would expect the router to take longer than that for broadband re-connects, but check in the router to see if there have been any.
Edit: Sorry, as you are on CityFibe you won't have any DSL stats, but we still need to work out if it is a line problem or just Wi-Fi.
Any FTTP users have a suggesting on how we can tell

I don't use the vf router so I can't actually help with that. But 1½ feet from the router you'll be overloading the radios. 3 metres should be fine,or as you're that close a wired connection will show whether it's wifi or internet going down.
