Why is my download speed not reaching its potential? (Swapped to Vodafone, Was BT, Had 500 mbps with BT and now 900 mbps yet my Steam download was fine with BT at around 45mb/s and Vodafone only reaching 19 mb/s).Untitled.jpg

What router are you using? Are you testing over WiFi? More info please.

As a long established Steam user I can tell you that it's not going to give you the same download speed every time.

Guessing you've got a powerhub? Could be because it's awful and it's automatically putting your pc onto the 2.4gz band instead of the 5gz band. There's no way to split it either they dont let you. I'd recommend disabling 2.4gz in your network adapter if there's an option.
