Just had an upgrade from 200mb to 500mb and download is excellent as it was before but upload seems way too low, should be around 68Mb.. so why would the upload be so slow as the connection to my house is excellent

@capnbirdseye Looking at this item on TechRadar https://www.techradar.com/computing/wi-fi-broadband/vodafones-full-fibre-500-broadband-package-is-no... you should see that there it states "average upload speeds of 68Mbps". So it looks like you are spot-on. What were you anticipating?

Note that at this moment your picture hasn't been moderated, so we have no idea what you are actually getting.

I experience the same if I use the vodafone router - it kills the upload. But I'm using my own router so everything is fine.
I went the same route as you, upgrading 200 to 500, and it seems like the router's upload was set to the 200 service rate. Are you getting the same upload as when you were on 200? If so then your service needs reprovisioning from scratch, and the only peeps capable of doing this are the level 2 techs - getting through to them can be a nightmare. If you have your own router then that's an option.

thanks for the replies,
can you not see my photo? it shows 519.8download and only 27.4 upload. The previous post by Ripshod might be the answer so the router is limiting it's upload speed

Even now at 00:08 it is still not visible to us.
I'm sure @Ripshod is right, something in the upgrade has gone wrong, your download speed has been upgraded to the next level, but the upload is still at the lower lever, (there doesn't seem to be a 200Mbs tier anymore)

@Jayach As I quoted (when the image was not available) from the TechRadar link, the product is 500/68.
27 does indeed look bad.

27Mbps fits perfectly with the old openreach 200Mbps fibre (guaranteed minimum 100 Mbps download, and 27 Mbps upload).
A test with a different router would definitely show positive results.
This account needs reprovisioning.
200Mbps may not be available now as whenever new tiers are added something has to go. Imagine an ISP with 20+ different plans available just on openreach.

Too late to edit my last post, but @capnbirdseye have you tried a router reset to try forcing a reprovisioning? I didn't ask earlier because after some use we end up with a lot of personal settings on there, things like reserved IPs and port forwarding.

I got on to Vodaphone chat line and got put to a tech expert who seemed fixated by wifi speed when I repeatedly pointed out that it's my PC connected buy wire that I use for uploading files etc. He said upload speed is not guaranteed etc and said he had done something to my router but not sure what as it's still the same.
Ripshod: I've not tried anything with the router other than rebooting it and don't have another router to try How do I reprovision it?
