Can't dial one number

VoIP service. Receiving calls no problems. Dialling out, no problems. Apart from when I try to call my own mobile phone. It rings once, then I get an engaged tone. Doesn't go to voicemail. On my mobile, it doesn't ring, I just get 3 missed calls (for that one call).

Any ideas?  VF say it's not their fault. My mobile provider says it's not them either!

No never got it fixed. Ran out of patience having to explain it to a different person who doesn't speak English as a first language every time they passed it to a new team.

Hope you have more luck.

Thanks for you reply. I know Vodafone are very tricky to deal with but I am up for a challenge. Other than that everything else appears to work.

I spoke to the complaints team and after resetting the router its just the same. Now awaiting an engineer to call me back next week. Its almost like my number is stuck in a loop. I have two sims in my phone (one Voda, One Tesco) the Voda number works the tesco one does not if dialled from my Voip Landline. All other numbers work on my landline and mobile numbers. They did check my connection and he confirmed that it was connected correctly.

Tesco piggybacks off O2 which is the network of the number I'm having problems with.

@Plugman40 Strange idea, what happens if you swap the two Sims over in that phone?  Does the Tesco one then work?

Just tried and no difference.

Interesting my wife is on Tesco mobile no issue with that nor dialling my work o2 number

So are you getting exactly the same issue?

Yes landline to one number. Everything else is fine.

My mother has the same problem since moving over to Vodafone VOIP. When she rings my sister's mobile, it rings once then goes to an engaged tone. My sister will get three missed call notifications with no rings.

My mum seemed to be able to call other mobiles ok, but we've now found she has the same problem calling my sister-in-law's mobile. And we've realised my sister and SIL are both on Tesco Mobile.

Not sure if this is a Vodafone or Tesco problem. Probably a combination of the two, and they'll just point fingers at each other. Sounds like there's no point going through the Vodafone support if your experience is anything to go by. Please update if you manage to get any success. I'm off to the Tesco Mobile forums to see if there's anything from their end.
