My 78 year old Mum recently switched to Vodafone. Despite saying she didn't want Digital Voice they made her have it anyway. She's now had hours of stress because it doesn't work. It will ring once but the next caller gets a beep but nothing else. Her doctor calls her on the landline so she's really worried that they won't be able to get through. Any idea how we might solve this? Thank you.

You will need to contact Vodafone I'm afraid.
Live chat is probably quickest/easiest. https://www.vodafone.co.uk/bbservcd/
If you want to call, I use 08080 034 515, but I don't know if that is the best for your query.
As for requesting non-digital voice, I don't think that is possible.

Thank you for that. My Mum is going to try to ring them later but heaven knows how she will get on! As for having to have Digital Voice, we signed up with Vodafone a few months ago and we don't have it so it's not mandatory. Hopefully she will get it sorted otherwise she will have to switch to another provider.

No, it only seems to have recently gone over to digital voice for both FTTC as well as FTTP.
I believe it is a change in how they order the line from BT/Openreach. They appear to be using SOGEA (single order generic access). They then provide the voice on top. (it works out cheaper for them)
Single Order Generic Ethernet Access (SoGEA) | BT Wholesale
Hope your mum can find a resolution, but most ISPs seem to be doing the same.
