Hi,
I have FTTP 900, out of curiosity can I just use the ethernet LAN connection on my Gigaset IP box and get rid of the RJ11 cable?
At the moment I just plug the Gigaset IP box RJ11 into the phone adapter of the UltraHub and it works fine. However, I want to test the G.722 audio codec on the Gigaset.
Once upon a time I had a connection to Plusnet SIP so I assume I would need to change ports/parameters on the Gigaset IP base unit to match Vodafone etc.
I don't plan to remove the UltraHub so can I assume the SIP handshaking to Vodafone's SIP service will be handled seamlessly by the UltraHub?
Thought I would ask first to see what pitfalls there may be and I don't screw my landline up

The gigaset willl not work as a voip phone with vodafone's digital voice service, so no go. It can only be used as a normal phone connected to the rj11.
Not what you wanted to hear, but saved you wasting a lot of time.
