FTTP VOIP Call Waiting

I have Full fibre (FTTP) and my land line is via VOIP and I use DEC house phones.

Call waiting is active on my land line I have tried de-activating it by using (#4 3#) but it dosn't work.

The problem is when on a call, the call waiting tone sounds and the calling number is displayed but I don't know how to interrupt my call and briefly talk to the "new" caller, who does not get engaged tone but gets ringing out tone and is disconnected after a short time.

I have been on Chat help with VF ( two sessions of 65 min)  and a chat  on 08080 034515. But do not have a resolution.  I was even told that I  don't have call waiting.

So the code to "answer" the incoming callwaiting  and/or   the procedure to cancel (permanently) call waiting would be  a great help.

@MVDC  Wow! That could impact a lot of people as fibre is pushed-out over the coming years.

I hope you get a satisfactory solution.

Amazing that a call feature is so difficult to get rid when we're told call features aren't even available 🙄

I can understand the agents problem, how do you turn off something that shouldn't even be there.

I'm sure that at some level in Vodafone someone will have the ability, but getting the problem to them just isn't in Vodafone's escalation path.

I have few choices   Virgin who have  their own cabling and kit or BT who will  only supply FTTP from overhead lines. If this , as stated earlier by Vodafone,  use the same generation of Kit as Vodafone  may have the same problem .I know Virgin is OK as My son

Are there not any other suppliers using CityFibre in your area?

Both TalkTalk and Zen use them.
