I recently placed an order for Vodafone broadband and specifically requested to keep our existing landline number. Today we received a call from Vodafone saying that it is in the process of being changed despite this request. We have had the landline number for 24 years and it is our registered contact number for a multitude of services. We previously moved from BT to Sky and had no issues retaining the same landline number. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yep. My number I had had for 8 years. From Virgin Media, to Sky, to BT, to Vodafone.
Then this year I upgrade to Gigafast Fibre to the Home, and Vodafone cannot port the number they already provide!
Really not helpful, and as far as I can tell, against OFCOM rules.
