Hello
We moved from plusnet broadband and phone to Vodafone broadband and voip last week. We had no idea our landline number would be changed and we need it back.
Vodafone Customer Service are blaming Plusnet and vice versa. Our old number is currently in quarantine. Plusnet say as it’s now not a working line it can’t be ported.
We can’t return to plusnet as they don’t do voip. If we cancel our Vodafone contract can we go with BT and get our old number out of quarantine? BT said it’s possible but we’re now wary of what people tell us on the phone. Has anyone successfully done this?
Also, if we cancel with V, will they cut us off immediately? It means we’d be without phone for two weeks until BT can take over.
We’re not techy at all and are so confused with it all.
