Quick question, just moved into property in January and landline goes into my bedroom.  Take the bt socket off just 2 wires going in like it's and extension socket, should this not be a master socket where you take faceplate off and have a test socket as this socket definitely does not have one?  Thanks

Not all master sockets are created equal.  It would not be uncommon with that rough type of socket if it were to have originally have been sealed with a loop of nylon and a lead seal though!

Has 4 wires obv 2 don't get used but the other 2 go into back of socket, it's incase I have trouble in future and asked to remove faceplate to plug into test socket there ain't a test socket behind the covering just 2 wires going in. Also has new Openreach symbol on it not old by symbol.
