I have a TP Link Deco x73 which is voip capable, now we do have voip with our fttc package and we get a dial tone but no service, i am not really bothered as everyone calls our mobiles but if i can get it working i would like to. Has anyone been able to get voip working on a third party router?

Not with Vodafone's service, that I know of.

Hi did you manage to get this to work, i also have the Deco X73-DSL that has the two phone sockets, i've moved the broadband over to this from the original vodafone provided wifi router and that is all working fine, it's just the phone that is not working. The thing is when i go to the deco app on my mobile i can test the ring volume from the settings the handsets ring, but when i call to my home landline number thats been ported over nothing.

It won't work on that router - never will.

thanks, not too sure what the point was me paying £10 extra for the phone then if i cant use it but only on their router - will try and just cancel it then and save money. I'm just on the message with them and they are sending me the VOIP username and password on my account

You're paying £10 for the phone? Is that because you chose to have inclusive anytime calls?

After readng that you'll understand why voip will only work with certain Grandstream devices. You'll also understand what the community had to go through to get it working at all.
