4G router port forwarding

Has anyone over come the port forwarding issues and dyndns issues with a 4G router. I can’t seem to get it to work as the public address given to my dyndns automatically is the IP address of the tower and not the IP address of my router. So traffic is not being directed back to my router as requested! Can traffic back to the mast be port forwarded to my router by Vodafone?

Hi,

There have been quite a few posts anout this. Simple answer is 'no'. Vodafone uses CGNAT which means you don't get a public IP address assigned to your WAN port, you get a private IP that is sharred by many users. Unless you create a tunel over the IP connection there is no way port forwarding is going to work.
