Gigacube B528s ethernet problems

I can set my Gigacube up on its own and it works perfectly well.

But it stops working when it's plugged into the existing ethernet network.

My network has a Windows server handling DHCP and so obviously I turn off DHCP on the Gigacube and set the gateway accordingly. It seems to sense the server and instantly stops working - seems to lose its settings and even the 4G light goes red.

Is there perhaps a special setting I'm not aware of, that is required for this sort of usage?

The Ethernet settings page is pretty cryptic - settings which don't seem relevant to ethernet but rather WAN. Is there something in there?
