Wi-Fi Router Abroad Question

If I purchase a vodaphone wi-fi router here in the UK will it work in Portugal if I purchase a Portuguese Vodaphone data sim?   Are the routers regional or will they function in other countries provided the data sim is correct for that country?

Hi @Tao22  if I remember correctly the router will be locked to the UK Vodafone network so would need to be unlocked. 

Once unlocked it should work overseas with any other sim.
