Hi there

I hope you can help with an issue I'm having with 4g droputs. I'm running Vodafone 4g on a 4g router, and my internet connection drops for 3s every 6 hours. Every 6 hours exactly, 4 times a day for a week now. I'm guessing this has something to do with the DHCP lease times set on your servers. I am trying to run 4g broadband as a replacement to a poor BT copper service. I will post a screenshot of my signal stregth as well as the router logs for one of the disconnects.

Thanks

1) Does the issue happen in just one location? If so, how far do you have to travel to regain service?

One location, at my home addrress

2) What is the full postcode (e.g. ST1 1AA) of where the issue occurs? If you don't want this showing on

KA13 6RY

3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone?

I'm not sure as I can't mointor or log this easliy

4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs?

 See attached screenshot

5) Does this happen on 2G, 3G, 4G or all?

4g, I have the router to set to only connect to 4g

6) When did you first notice this issue?

The first few days of using the service, approx 20/10/22

7) Is the issue permanent or intermittent? If intermittent, are there certain times of the day when it occurs?

Both! Every 6 hours - every day

Hey @mitchgixer6. It's disappointing to hear that you're experiencing persistent 4G connection drop-outs. We completely understand how both concerning and frustrating this must be, especially when it's main function is to replace your ADSL broadband connection.

I've checked our Network Status Checker tool online (which advises you on how our network's performing where you are and up-to-date information on anything going on that might be affecting your network connection) using your postcode of concern, and I'm unable to locate any reported issues and/or maintenance spots within the vicinity. I've also checked the mast that your postcode area connects to and again I'm unable to locate any irregularities or reported issues - all 4G cells are and have been reporting back fully operational.

Due to the nature of mobile technology it's important to note that our services are not fault-free. There are a number of reasons why you may find problems with the services, including weather conditions, local terrain, the number of people using the network and so on. That being said, to take a closer look to ensure we're covering all bases can you please pop over a message to our Social Media team.

To prevent having to repeat yourself and resending the screenshots you've kindly provided, you're more than welcome to share the link to this Community thread with our Social Media team.
