Data not working when on the phone

When on the phone and placing the phone on speaker, my data then does not work. When I’m connected to a WiFi it works fine, but data does not work how can I fix this.

@Katelyn12 Are you just disconnecting the WiFi or entirely turning it off on the phone. On my Android is sulks if WiFi is active but disconnected and I have to turn it completely off and then the cellular data works.

Does data work when your phone is not on speaker?

Does your phone use VoLTE (4G voice) for calls? Or are you using 2G? The latter would explain the lack of mobile data.

You need to enable VoLTE. During a call, it’s likely your phone is falling back to 2G because 3G was turned off where you’re located.
