If so, how far do you have to travel to regain service? 10 minutes from my house

3) Does the issue occur if you try your SIM card in a different phone? Yes, Have tried 4 different handsets with the same outcome.

4) What errors are seen or heard when the issue occurs? Slow or no data, single or no bars on reception, poor SMS connectivity - SMS OTP's or 2FA messages don't come through

I'm guessing you didn't hear anything back?

hi this is what i,ve been told:

the mast on hanworth trading estate is having transmission issues and that is why we are having problems. apparently vf are having difficulty accessing the site

No update when they are going to fix. This must be behind our Ind. Est. we are on Links Ind.Est.

That would explain poorer performance, but strange that it doesn’t appear on the network status checker 🤔

would you want people to know you have equipment that is faulty but you cant get to it to fix it. easier to say nothing and let customers get fobbed off by the support team saying to reset the phone get a new sim reset the mobile data setting blah blah.

when you say its faulty they have a SLA to fix it, dont say anything let the customer work it out. i spent lot time trying to get this sorted and customer services no help they make thing worse.

the support people on this site have been more helpfull

I don’t live around that area, I work there and noticed it’s been playing up a few weeks now, anyway my point is that my local town had a network issue with Vodafone, it lasted a couple of months, it was on the network status checker while it was down for that long, it was saying firstly that they were having problems accessing the site, once they did they changed it to the fault has been identified and waiting for replacement part, after that it was fixed within a couple of days!
If you’re saying why would VF like to admit there’s a fault, why bother having a network status checker in the first place

well i was informed on this site by one of the admin that they had a message from one of the VF engineers saying cant get access so VF knows there is a problem this has been since the beginning of Dec but not on the signal checker i dont know why but if you knew this at least you would not be wasting time trying to let someone know there something wrong. you could see the update and you know its being dealt with.

Agreed, that’s why it doesn’t make sense why it’s not on there

They really need to get this sorted on the network status checker. all my family are literally wanting to cancel their contracts because the signal is so poor and has been since December. They're losing business, and Vodafone are just fobbing them off telling them to get new phones, new sims, and won't acknowledge the problem is their end. Everyone has had replacement sims and no luck.

Hi all, so was on twitter dming vodafone for ages this morning and they looked at mum and dad's area in tw13 and said some nearby masts were having issues, so they asked me for my number so they could subscribe me to the alerts. I got a text saying I had been subscribed to alerts for the tw134aa postcode and would be notified when the issue was fixed, however when I put that postcode into the checker it says there are no issues? They must access a different checker to the one that we see? They didn't seem to want to update it to say there is a problem? Really poor practise in my opinion and this is missleading customers to think their service is working perfectly, when it's not. If you put in tw134aa on the o2 status checker page, it says a nearby mast isn't working, so I have subscribed there with my number to get an update when that is fixed as that could probably be affecting Vodafone's performance as they share masts?

so, had my family have a look at the map and if you zoom out, you can see where there are nearby issues. I am totally blind and have a speech program that reads to me what is on the screen, so scanning maps to look for the coverage issues I can't really do. But my dad and brother did say it does say there is an issue in tw134aa. If you guys go here, you can have a look and register for the updates. https://www.vodafone.co.uk/network/status-checker  hope this can help some of you!
