Poor Signal

I have been with Vodafone for may years, basically because their network coverage was always good for me. Recently, I presume related to the 3G switch off my reception is very poor, calls breaking up and dropping etc. I spoke to a rep this morning who told me it should improve in a few days, but in the meantime she sent me a text to reset the network settings. Since I have done that I have noticed a little 4G signal appearing on the phone which I hadn't noticed before. In the settings for mobile connections there is no mention of 4G. I have checked my IME1 number and get the following

Your device is partially compatible
Your device is compatible with 4G Calling, but you might not have it enabled yet. Let's get you set up now:

The phone software is updated but I cannot find any place on My Vodafone to activate as cannot find Services and Extras anywhere.

Hopefully 4g reappears for you but there has been a few posters including me who didn't get an improved signal it's actually gotten worser. Good luck

In my experience, Vodafone have decimated the connectivity to 4G for data! Originally, I could easily download at 80mbs (when 4G was introduced), now I'm lucky if I can download at all, especially during peak hours! Customer services deem this as an acceptable level of service! Furthermore, after addressing this issue almost monthly for the past two years, I've given up! It's obvious to anyone it's the 'contention' on the line! However, Vodafone do not seem to have increased the network capacity to compensate for this issue, especially eversince the cessation of their 3G service, which undoubtedly increased data traffic on the 4G service, hence compounding the issue. Hope this helps to explain somewhat.
