5G data slow or not working

This 5G mast has never worked properly since being installed earlier in the year. Phone calls are ok but 5G data won’t work, I have to switch back to 4G manually to use data. I’ve tried other family members phones on Vodafone all with the same issue. 5G signal is shown at full strength. The mast is situated in Shaftesbury Avenue Worthing in Worthing Leisure Centre. Phones work fine in other areas where 5G is available.

The 5G mast located at Worthing Leisure Centre on Shaftesbury Avenue has been experiencing persistent issues since its installation earlier this year. While phone calls work fine, 5G data is non-functional despite a full-strength signal. Switching to 4G is necessary to use data services. Multiple Vodafone devices tested in the same area exhibit the same problem, although they function correctly in other locations with 5G coverage. This indicates a likely issue with the mast's configuration or connectivity that requires attention from the service provider.

I totally understand the importance of being connected properly, can you make contact with my team here. We can run some additional checks on your post code and look to provide further guidance. 

As suggested I contacted your social media team and explained the situation in depth. They’ve run me through everything to do with my phone all day yesterday when clearly it works fine in other 5G areas and other people are experiencing the same problem. Now they want me to do 3 different speed tests at various times of the day and send them the results. There is no speed , data doesn’t work !

Thanks for getting back to me @AndyMilner. So the speed tests are part of the information pack that we have to build so that we can raise a case and escalate further to our network team. I understand it seems a lot of information but we must follow certain steps in order to look to progress this further with our internal team.

Data speeds are dictated by the spectrum in use, not the displayed strength. I'd like to hope that if a specific carrier was off-air, that performance metrics would identify it.
