Signal contently dropping, can't make calls or connect to the internet.

About 3 days ago my phone became unable to connect to the internet or make phone calls. It says it has full signal then drops to no signal then comes up with "Emergence calls only". I have cleaned the sim card, reset network setting and even resorted to https://vlc.onl resetting the entire phone which led to me losing all on the phone and it still does not work. Wondering if anyone else is having the same problem or is it my phone? I live in the mid/north UK.
