VOLTE (4g calling)

Just made several  calls over volte on my galaxy s7 running BTU firmware. It's really impressive call set up times  are a lot quicker tha 3g and clarity is very good. Although the volte symbol isn't there but rather the Wi-Fi calling symbol is, which is quite annoying i hope this gets fixed.

Hi @Malo01

I wasn't aware that model of phone was included on the VoLTE Service.

"To benefit from 4G calling, you’ll need to have one of our Red phone plans and one of the following phones: Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge or Sony Xperia XZ– though more compatible phones will be available soon."

Give Customer Services a call as the Social Media Team cannot access Business Accounts.

Hi,

I don't know really, I just have received that popup message..but then I have read the same as you posted, VoLTE is not yet available on iPhones.

Simo

When are Vodafone going to sort VOLTE out for  more handsets, The new Iphone goes active in a couple of days and yey still no sign of Vodafone allowing this and other iphones the option of using the network.

The goes for the Samsung S8 it was advirtised by Vodafone and sales & service advisors were adving customers that this handset would be VOLTE from launch, Here we go a number of months down the line the handset is still not active on Vodafone VOLTE yet EE,O2 and 3 have no problems at all.

This is such a mess at present and there does not seem to be any bright future ahead

@Uno28 We don't have information on this at the moment, but please keep an eye out on our website for any updates :Smiling:

So new IOS 11 out on Vodafone with updated carrier profile but still no VOLTE 😖

They are are supposed to be supporting it on the new IPhone 8 and X but have no confidence that this will happen with their previous track record

@JamesBond We currently wouldn't have this information available to us, however keep an eye out on this page. If your device becomes available, we'll then have the instructions on how to get it working 🙂
