Hi Guys,
Just thought we could have an OFF TOPIC about the cinema!
I have just taken my Daughter to see Rango at our Local cinema. I didn't know what it was, but was ordered by "she who must be obeyed".
It is a Cartoon/Computer generated movie Starring Johnny Depp.
I wont give the plot away but it is a kind of spaghetti western!
I defy anyone to see this movie and not laugh out loud :smileyvery-happy:

I've also been 'ordered' to re-watch all of the Pixar films recently, not something I mind, always loved Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo.
Best I've seen (or re-watched) recently is Swimming With Sharks - Kevin Spacey as the abusive boss from hell. Also, Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

If you get a chance, watch all the Pixar shorts... awsome!
Another truly funny film is MegaMind.

Are you just after film sugestions that you can watch with the family?
If not, what types of films do YOU like? (other than pr0n! :smileyvery-happy: )
P.S. When it comes to Pixar, monster Inc. does indeed rawk! (along with the Shrek series)

No not at all, any film that you have enjoyed and would recommend. It just so happens that I have been to the cinema with my youngest recently, so those were the ones mentioned.
I am into Sci-Fi mainly, my all time favourites so far would be:
Pitch Black
Matrix trilogy + Animatrix
District 9
Avatar
These are films I can watch over and over again!
So... Films - You recommend, can be past, present, or soon to be released. The choice is yours!

Okey-dokey, I can think of loads but I will start of with some oldies.
1. Event Horizon (Sci-fi, Horror)
2. Solaris (Sci-fi, Strangely relaxing to watch)
3. The Mothman Prophecies (Paranormal)
4. Man on Fire (Thriller - awesome film)
5. Phonebooth (Thriller - who would of thought you could make such a great film based soley around a public telephone box!?)
6. Phenomenon (Drama - whatever drama actually means!)
7. KPAX (Sci-fi kind-of)
8. Evolution (Sci-fi comedy)
9. Galaxy Quest (Sci-fi comedy)
10. The Illusionist (Drama/Thriller - superb film)
11. Pandorum (Sci-fi thriller)
That you get you going, as long as you have similar tastes to me! :smileyvery-happy:

Hi Robin,
Yes, That is an awesome film, however it was ruined for me after watching the Directors Cut on Blu-ray.
The added scene's changed the story line, some made sense others didn't. Now when I watch the standard edition it feels a bit disjointed. This is why I didn't include Chronicles of Riddick.
I think you meant sequel, not prequel. :smileywink:

Ah you are right, it was a sequal... that many prequels these days I get confused! :smileyindifferent:
