Has this been the slowest year for new iPhone rumours & Chinese Whispers ?

Hi,

I think last year there was a very high demand and interest for a larger screen size iphone so people soaked up every bit of rumour, gossip and Chinese style rumours and blog news about it last year.

Maybe this being a 's' cycle year many people think not much will change in terms of the aesthetics of the new iPhone.

I've seen 'leaked' shots of the backs of the new iPhone and discussions on possible implementation of 2gb of RAM and force touch screens like the  Watch.

Maybe Apple's security has been tightened (or as some think are not leaking info themselves 😉 ) this time around.

Now i read a cross section of end users want to revert to a smaller screen !

I'm sure we will however still see the hype and mania that hits on an  product launch and keynote.

Chatter seems to suggest September 8th for the keynote.

I agree the screen is amazing and I like the keyboard in Landscape mode as it has so many added keys / functionality.

As for future features.

Possibly the removal of the Home Button and making it a touch sensitive style button.

  • Make the top and bottom bezels less prominent to give more screen.
  • Allow more than 4 icons in the Dock.
  • Allow more customisation in the Control Centre.
  • Allow a choice of default browser.
  • Some would like a SD Card option although I don't see this happening.
  • Ad Blocker in iOS 9 (as reported a possibility)
  • Allow f.lux on the iPhone and iPad as allowed on MacBook.
  • Allow a Dark Mode to allow users to get away from the current 'fisher price' colours.
  • If needed slightly thicker iPhone housing to add strength.
  • Removal of the antenna bands on the back of the iPhone.

Some great suggestions here!

I must admit I’ve never been very interested in iPhones for myself, but the new larger screens do make them more appealing. :Smiling:

Spot on @BandOfBrothers! :Smiling:

I've currently got the Samsung Galaxy S5 and I had the Samsung Galaxy S3 before that.

😉

And what an amazing bit of kit the Samsung Galaxy S5 is too.

(Ok I'm a gadget geek ! )

Are you tempted by the s6 or s6 Edge or maybe the upcoming s6+ ?

Hmmmmm, I think it’d take a lot for me to change from Samsung, but one of the reasons I never really looked properly at iPhones before, was the small screen.

Never say never eh! :Winking_smiley:

Never a truer word said. I've spent year telling people both personally and professionally not to get Macs.

Now I'm all Mac - laptop and desktop as well as iPads and an iPhone. I'm truly converted to the Dark Side.
