I cannot upgrade until the 9th July 2013, but I am unhappy with my current phone, I currently pay £31 a month. Does anyone know how much it would cost for me to upgrade early?

Many thanks
Kayleigh

That sounds sensible. Please remember that any unused time from the current contract gets added on to your new contract when you upgrade.

If the upgrade date is July 9th, the end of the commitment period will be around Sept 15th - say 4 and a half months from now.

At £31 a month including VAT that equates to a termination fee of around £114.

Hey i'm not sure if this is a new message or not but i need help with upgrading :Smiling:

i know my upgrade date but i'm not sure what is meant by upgrading, do i get given a choice of a few phones to pick out of or can i pick any phone i want? thank you:)

Hi there

In the mobile phone industry, upgrading is a term used to imply the changing of the handset or plan or both.  You can pick any of the available phones and also choose a suitable tariff to go with it.  Depending on what phone you go for, you may have to pay a one off cost for the handset in order to be able to upgrade.  Usually the higher the monthly tariff you pay, the lower the one off cost for the phone.

Once you are able to upgrade and have decided on what phone and plan you would like, why not speak to the @VodafoneUKDeals team who specialise in upgrades and new connections for both eForum and Twitter users.  Simply drop them a message by following the instructions in this link. They are a small, friendly Team who are quite in demand so they can take a little while to get back to you

If you are upgrading early, please do remember that any time remaining on your contract will be added on to any new contract you sign. Also the team and very restricted on what deals they can offer on iPhones due to pricing control by Apple.

If I upgrade 3 weeks early do I still need to pay my old phone off.

Plus I was looking into having .y monthly phone and getting broadband as BT is more expensive but everytime I try to see how much it would cost it just reverts back to my monthly contract thanks for any advice

@Alison65W - please call our Upgrade team on 191 free from your Vodafone mobile or 03333 040 191 from any other network/landline.

We can then go through your options and we’ll also check the cost of adding on a Home Broadband line.
