This Guardian article says it all. It is almost as if the Vodafone's customer service systems and protocols are designed to make life as difficult as possible for customers. As a new customer, they also made my life hell for me, with delayed activation leaving me two weeks with no broadband.

Vodafone really do seem to hate their customers. Staff routinely give out incorrect information and just don't care. Tobi is designed to stop you talking to a human or provide anything useful.
When Vodafone works, it's great., but as soon as you have a problem you just know you'll enter a world of hell where no one will take ownership of anything and staff will do what they can to end the call rather than help.
