Hi
I'm trying to use my own router Asus 88 with Vodafone
When I set up my router is up and running properly, but after some time (I-e 3-4 days) I'm loosing connection and then I need manually connected to network. I gave my router to my friend which he using BT broadband and he was testing for over 2 weeks and was working fine,so there is no fault with my router
I'm just wondering if someone had similar issues with third party routers?
Solved! Go to best answer.

Out of the five 88s which model do you actually have? What firmware version are you running?
I've personally used DSL-AC88U, RT-AC88U, RT-AX88U, and my current RT-BE88U without issue.

This is a long-discontinued router with no firmware support from anywhere, and firmware that dates to near it's release 8 years ago, along with unfixable vulnerabilities that should never be connected to the internet. Sorry, had to be frank but even the old vodafone THG3000 router supercedes it.
Time to revise your plans methinks.
