Black Ops 6 Gaming

Hi All, Trying to play Black Ops 6 with my Lad, he is on PS5 (wifi) I'm on PC (wired), we both have bought the game but we can't play together? The only time we did manage to get online together was just after i restarted the router, we could both get into game, but that's not a way i want to go every time we want to play , as if he's playing and i want join we have to restart the router, it spoils his or my game so the other can play, that's no way to go. there has to be a setting or something Vodafone can do surly ?? i've tried forwarding some ports but still no good. Any Help would be Appreciated. Thank You

No dont think it's that, because 2-3 mins after my son quits the game i can play and vice versa, just when we try and play at the same time

@R1-Mini  and @Ripshod  what about putting a switch between the wired device and the router and maybe trying a WiFi access point connected off of the switch too? We have seen madness like this with the Xbox console. I am clutching at straws here.

PS. I have nothing to back up this suggestion. I am just wondering if the router is having a problem merging traffic to the WiFi and Ethernet to the same destination.

Clutch away - it's not an impossible fix.

After all I've seen other devices really sulk trying to push WiFi and BlueTooth or USB through the same chipset.

its only black op 6 that's having an issue, we can play other games together without problems

@R1-Mini  Could both devices be on the same port? Is it possible to change them?

yes both use 3074 port and the public ports change, as for changing it this is what im trying to find out but no info, and can't see any way of changing it

@R1-Mini I'll have a dig around, meanwhile it's usually a case of moving one to 3075 and sometimes updating the firewall.

One of the links I sent earlier did mention port changing and UPNP.
