I have a Windows laptop that can connect to the hard drive remotely with no issues.
When I go to do the same action on my mac, with the given address from the router, it cant find the location.
Ive tried with the static ip and every other possible addresses.
I have the latest router and all updates on machines are ok.
help me please. (tried calling vodafone support, but they wont help me)

Hi there @argrdnr - How odd! Could you attach a picture of the error message you are getting please?
If you connect your Mac to the router via an ethernet cable does the issue persist?

Just says check the ip address and settings and try again.
I would connect it via Ethernet but I have the MacBook Air.
it’s very weird as on windows it’s fine.

Not knowing anything about macs, I may be completely wrong, but the sharing protocol used is SMB, which is very much Windows, so perhaps you need to add that to the mac.

I have added smb://(then the address) and still nothing .

@cory_ By "remotely" do you mean from another device on your LAN or from the internet?
Which Vodafone contract do you have?
Which router are you using?
