Connecting to Vodafone Broadband App (iOS)

Hi,

Is it possible to connect to the iOS "Vodafone Broadband" app if I use a different wifi setup?

I have BT Whole Home discs to provide my wifi at home and they plug into the back of the Vodafone router.  When I tried to register for the Vodafone app, I was seemingly unable to as I was not on the wifi network coming from the router itself.

Must I be on the router's wifi network to use the app, or is this only necessary for the initial setup?

Also does the app offer any improvement (either UI or feature wise) over just logging into the web interface of the router?

Thanks!

For several months, I had large parts of the app working quite successfully with my Asus router.  I think the app at some point updated and I lost connectivity.  *You can't use it to change settings on a third-party router, but much of the monitoring works.  So you may be able to get some of it working if you first set it up using the VF router directly and then switch afterwards!

Thanks.  I temporarily enabled the wifi on the router and registered with the app ok.  It also appears to work fine since stopping the wifi and re-joining my Whole Home one.

I've played around with the app but can't see it any better than the web interface :Smiling: The list of devices in the app hadn't picked up the name changes I did in the web app, interestingly
