Double NAT preventing full use of my Sonos Move 2

Hi I’ve a Vodafone router and Deco M4 mesh system.  I bought a Sonos Move 2 but can’t use all the features and Sonos support say their diagnostics show it’s as a result of double NAT.  They’ve asked that I switch my router to bridge mode.  I believe this is not an option on the Vodafone router.  I can switch my deco to access point mode but that means I lose its other features and when I do that should I turn off wifi on the VF router?

Are there other options to prevent the double NAT?

Thanks

If you're not bothered about the landline just remove the vodafone router. Takes 5 minutes in chat to get your PPPoE details.

Sorry I’m not techy - what does PPPoE mean?  If I remove the Vodafone router I’ll not have any broadband for my deco to connect to?

The main Deco unit will establish a PPPoE connection over the wan port directly to your ont. PPPoE is just the encapsulation used by vodafone, but you need the username and password to connect.

Just to mention that @Ripshod's replies assume you are on FTTP (Full Fibre)  which you probably are, and not FTTC.

But if you aren't on FTTP, then you'll need to buy a modem to replace your Vodafone hub.

I am on Fibre To The Cabinet - the only available Vodafone service in my area - with a full mesh system.

The 3 node mesh kit was very unsatisfactory when connected to the the Vodafone hub with the mesh kit in bridge mode so I replaced the Vodafone hub with a Draytek Vigor 130* modem and added a traditional four port mesh router.  It has all been trouble free with almost zero user intervention needed for a few years now.

*Draytek V130 now discontinued / replaced by V166/V167 I believe but is available used & cheapish on ebay.

Did you have Vodafone mesh kit originally or Deco?  What mesh kit did you go for?

thanks

My mesh kit was purchased and set up set-up in February 2020 to replace an unsatisfactory range extender.

I started with 3 x Linksys Velop nodes set up in bridge mode using the Vodafone THG3000 modem/router which just didn't meet expectations so I made the decision to retire the THG3000 and replace it with the Draytek V130 modem and a Linksys MR8300 4 port Mesh Router.   The first of the three nodes is ethernet connected to the router and the other two are connected wirelessly.

The mesh kit really has been trouble free since installation with full and reliable coverage across the whole house and gardens.
