My Vodafone broadband is consistently blocking the download of some very specific content:
- I receive a daily newsletter from the Financial Times. None of the links in this newsletter will open. However, I can access the articles if I go direct to the FT website and open them from there.
- I cannot download BBC podcasts from the Apple Podcasts app. I can listen to BBC Sounds with no problem. I can listen to podcasts on Apple Podcasts from other providers.
I experience both these issues daily.
In both cases, if I use mobile data (my mobile contract is with another provider, not Vodafone) instead of my broadband connection, I have no problem accessing the content. So that seems to narrow it down to the content being blocked by Vodafone somehow. How can I try to fix this?

Hey @jannic Just to check, have you tried switching your broadband content controls off and seeing if the issue persists?

Or better yet, simply change your default DNS server to one of the better public servers…
Cloudflare: 1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1
Google: 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4

For the links in the email not opening, is it possible it's the email app/client which is blocking them. If the same links open from the website, it's unlikely that the Vodafone connection is the cause.
