Hi,
I need to connect a new smart device to my Vodafone Hub and I need 2.4GHZ to achieve but I can't find a setting to split the signal to do it.
Is this possible with my hub (it's a Grey rectangular Hub) I can't find anything like a model number on it.
I hope you can help

There's two recognised ways to do it. As long as the router has been connected you can disconnect the WAN cable, force a reset with the recessed "Reset" button on the back, then once it's rebooted login directly with a browser and set up the WiFi how you want it. Finally, reconnect the WAN.

Hi Ripshod,
I have the Power Hub Wi-Fi 6. I tried disabling the WAN and doing a factory reset but this didn’t work.
I really need to split my bands for a dedicated 2.4. I also tried sideloading an old VF Broadband app on an Android device but it would only run a newer version of the app.

How about a cheap 2.4G access point? May be the sanest way out.

@RipshodDoes this work for the PowerHub?

It used to work, yes. Whether it still works now I can't say.

Does anyone know if this trick works today?

I've tried factory resetting my Power Hub, and some of the options have come back, such as setting channel number, but not the option to split the bands.

That sounds like the THG3000, It's model number should be written on the bottom of the base.
If you have the Vodafone boosters, the option to split the bands will have been removed (it will say super Wi-Fi is running your Wi-Fi) :
Otherwise you may still have the option to split them:
If you don't have that option, use @Ripshod's method, but be aware it will require a factory reset (hold the button in for at least 10 seconds) to get the default options back.

Good catch @Jayach. My poorly configured vf router has band splitting disabled so I forgot that it's only the channel settings that get locked. To this day they won't disable that because they "know" I have boosters.
