Let's discuss the elephant in the room here - no far-fetched conspiracy theories please.
We've all seen it and we've all learned some recently. From app errors to wifi failures. But what's causing it? It hasn't escaped the attention of the regular members here that Vodafone recently pushed a firmware update, but being closed source we can't prove anything, or even help vodafone.
The fact that it relates to IPv6 is plainly obvious. Are vodafone preparing for an up-coming opening of IPv6? Are they testing right now?
What's your thoughts (keep it decent)?

Have you tried the normal fixes including disabling IPv6?

Not yet only read about the problem on ISP review on Friday and thought I would check on here, I thought it was my phone that was the issue. I tried to look for the setting in the app but could only find something about IPv6 pin holes. I will try going in on the computer.

I think I might have solved the problem for me anyway. I disabled IPv6 but it made no difference. My phone was still massivly laggy when using gooogle maps. I run my router in compatibility mode so two networks show up. Premium wifi 6e and another without the word Premium on wifi6. I disconnected my phone from the Premium wifi 6e and connected to the wifi 6, google maps instantly loads, my tablet a s8 ultra runs speed tests faster on wifi 6 than wifi 6e, I got 600Mbps on wifi 6e 920Mbps on wifi 6.

@ChrisJB1 6e is on 6GHz only, 6 is on a mix of 2.4 & 5 GHz. Your experience may be due to variations of chipsets and firmware. Have you checked your devices for compatibility in their specification?

My s23 ultra and the tab s8 ultra 5g are both 6e compatible. They just work better and faster on wifi6.

The word seems to be spreading now

After a little digging it seems this recent spate of problems with IPv6 is directly related to the fact that Vodafone's DNS6 servers are now active. This explains the connectivity problems. DNS6 is the version for IPv6, and they seem to be intercepting DNS requests and dishing out nonsense (no surprise).
