Photos on chat site not opening since I changed to Vodafone Pro Broadband

Recently changed to Vodafone Pro broadband and now on a chat site that I use, uploaded photos will not open for me. All I see is a white box with “Thumbnail” in the corner. Does anyone know why this is? I use an iPad and it wasn’t a problem before and it works ok if a connect to a friend’s Wi-Fi. Is it some kind of security setting?

You'll probably need to go into the router WEB admin, and hunt down the DNS settings (probably need to switch to Expert/advanced settings).  If you change the DNS to some combination of 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4 1.1.1.1 1.0.0.1 it should work!

*It's probably also possible to change the safety settings of your DNS online.  These have probably somehow been set to safe, but it's much more convoluted than just changing the DNS settings.

**Odd but currently in some parts of the UK the Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 DNS servers are actually faster than Vodafone's own DNS.  I could explain why, but it's not that interesting...

Cloudfare DNS rocks! (1.1.1.1) or you could use the 1.1.1.2 which includes the DNS malware filter!
