We've lost our Vodafone Connect Pro connection last night, with recovery scheduled early tomorrow morning. The one gotcha is that our Ring door bell has lost its connectivity and is unable to establish a secure WiFi connection with our router with data running over the mobile dongle. Hence no doorbell at all during this outage.
Is there anything we can do to allow the Ring doorbell to work in the interim?

Odd one, because the router using the mobile dongle should have zero effect on the ability of a Ring door bell to connect over WiFi! If you'd said it couldn't connect to the internet I be blaming it on CG-NAT. If this is an FTTP connection, then it shouldn't hurt to reboot the router!

It appears to be an inability to create an encrypted connection from the doorbell back to Ring on the Internet. At least that’s what the setup claims. I’m unsure if it uses some non standard port that the broadband connection lets through that the mobile network doesn’t.
We’ve not had a broadband
connection all day, mobile broadband has been very impressive but we still have no doorbell…

Looks like quite a list to run through:

Yup what you are describing is an issue most likely to do with CGNAT (Carrier Grade Network Address Translation) meaning that you no longer have a unique internet IP address. As for solutions, everything that I can think of requires additional services (that cost) in addition to possibly the use of additional hardware.
Annoying as it may be, the fault will probably be fixed by the time you've worked around this!
Hopefully, I'm wrong on this and someone else can come up with a more immediate solution!

I’m not moving between cells so doubt that the radius setup would jumble IP addresses.
Service is back now so will park this until next time. Just nervous about scanning ports to see which ones appear to be blocked when my router is connecting via the mobile dongle. Am fairly sure that is the issue.
