Question on pro extender

I have superfast pro. It came with an extender which is great and I use it upstairs.

 

I am planning a garden room for work and will be running with eithernet to it 

 

Can I plug rj45 into the back of an extender to supply the internet or is that an output for a device?

 

Thinking I'll get the best performance if I can run a cable from router to extender and then my WiFi will have high performance.

You should be able to run a cable from the router to the extender and have it work.  It's common that such devices use the port in a flexible manner.  If I looked deep enough its probably in the ethernet specs/OSI model.
