Re-contract

Hi

i am about to enter the last month of my Gigafast Contract.

Virgin are also now in the area offering Gb speeds

There is a fantastic deal on just now with VF that I would like to take up but there is an “early upgrade” charge. 

is there not an option of just recontracting given it’s a month to go. 

I like the service with VF and don’t want to leave. But I don’t want to miss the deal

So the issue appears to have been downgrading from the Pro to standard. If I was staying on the same product I can upgrade etc. 

I never mentioned downgrade but simply the cost and I assume staff thought I wanted to downgrade. 

I have now re contracted with the help of a Customer Service staff member and they managed to waive the early fee as my “pro” product is no longer available

Only just found this thread, Glad you got a good deal in the end @Clansman007 .

When I re-contracted in the last month of my FTTC contract, it took 3 calls before I got an agent willing/able to offer me what I wanted, so persistence does pay off.
