Robert's Colourstream internet radio blocked

I'm trying to assist my parents in getting the above device working. It worked patchily until recently, and now I just get either Network error or network timeout.

I've changed the DNS handed out by vodafone's router to be 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8, just in case whatever sites it accesses are blacklisted.

I don't know which sites this device it trying to connect to, but it is being blocked. For now, this is working via a mobile hotspot instead.

Had a similar problem with one of my Roberts Radios.

I have an 83i, 93i and 94L. First and third connect no problem usually via WPS.

The 93i wont connect either via WPS or manually.

I noticed the wifi address for the main wifi had WPS in the scan results added to it. The guest wifi had no WPS suffix.

Manually joining (ie no WPS) was possible onto the guest wifi.

To get all devices on the main wifi rather than guest I had to swap the main and guest SSID and passwords with each other in the router GUI at 192.168.1.1 the join the guest wifi (using the swapped in main wifi credentials).

Then switch the wifi SSID and passwords back.

Hey presto all 3 radios then on the main wifi rather than guest.

Be careful as in doing this it can cause difficulty with the web gui access to the router -it can change to 192.168.1.5 if you use a device on the guest account.
